In the House, the Jammu and Kashmir State Reorganization Bill has passed from the Rajya Sabha.  Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah responded to the Rajya Sabha on the proposal to remove the provision of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.  Remembering Shyama Prasad Mukherjee in the Rajya Sabha, Amit Shah said that I am confident that after the removal of article 370, the bloodshed in the valley will be completely stopped.

At the same time, Congress leader P Chidambaram said in the Rajya Sabha that right now you feel that you have won, but you are wrong and history will prove you wrong.  The future generations will realize that a serious mistake has been made in the House today.

The situation in Jammu and Kashmir continues to be tense.  Home Minister Amit Shah presented the government's letter of resignation to Jammu and Kashmir in the Rajya Sabha today.  Shah said that there was a major change in Article 370, which gave special status to Kashmir.  Along with this, the Home Minister announced the removal of Article 35A as well.  Shah has also proposed the restructuring proposal of Kashmir.  Now there will be Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, while Ladakh has also been separated and made Union Territory.

The Congress has criticized the central government's move to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and divide the state into two union territories.
