Four year old child was killed in brain fever even today in Gorakhpur BRD hospital. In the last 3 days, the total death rate was 68. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda visited the hospital. Adityanath told reporters that strict action would be taken against the respondents in this incident.
Union Health Minister Nadda today announced the establishment of a Regional Medical Center to investigate the deaths of pediatricians in Gorakhpur and said that the center was a high-level investigation committee to know the cause of children's death. Strict measures will be taken against the guilty. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said that the culprits of this incident will be punished for being 'remembered'.
According to the report, 30 children died in BRD Medical College in two days. Yogi Adityanath said that the Prime Minister has given AIIMS in Gorakhpur but there was also a need for an institution to do a deep research on the virus. Adityanath, who said that most of the sadness has happened to him because of the death of his children, has said that on this issue he has given a talk to the Parliament. Intensive vaccination program has been started in 38 districts of the state.
Media should avoid giving false reports, he said. Health Minister JP Nadda said that the Prime Minister expressed sorrow over the death of children and continued to monitor the incident. Opposition parties in the state surrounded the Uttar Pradesh government on the incident. The Congress demanded that the Uttar Pradesh government hide the truth and put an investigation into the incident under the supervision of the Supreme Court.
