Hanamkonda: The Bharat Scouts and Guides district chapter is organising an eight-day residential training programme for teachers in order to propagate ideals of patriotism, discipline and leadership qualities among students.
The training will be held at St Anthony High School premises at Karunapuram near Warangal from September 11 to 18. The training is meant for the teachers, who wish to join Scouts and Guides and in turn train the students, the organisation state vice-president and MP A Seetaram Naik and district commissioner S Srinivasa Chary said.
The teachers will be trained to serve as Scout Masters and Flock Leaders. For Scout Masters training, both male and female teachers are eligible while for Flock Leaders training only female teachers are eligible, they told presspersons in Hanamkonda on Wednesday.
The teachers from all government and private schools from across erstwhile Warangal district along with other neighbouring districts can participate in the training programme. They will be paid travel expenses, free lodging and boarding.
For the government teachers, on-duty provision will be given during the training programme. The district educational officers of all the concerned districts have been intimated in this regard. Those intending to take part in the training need to pay a registration fee of Rs 330.

On-spot registration is also available, provided the teachers have to arrive at the training venue by 11 am on September 11. The teachers need to carry their own bedding material.
Warangal District Un-aided Private Schools Association (WADUPSA) has consented to mobilise teachers for the training programme as Nizamabad MP K Kavitha, who assumed charge as first Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides of Telangana wanted Bharat Scouts and Guides, introduced in all the private educational institutions. The state assistant commissioner N Narayana Reddy and state body member GV Ramanaiah were present.
